Starting my adventure with Amazon KDP, as usual, I approached the subject very conservatively and carefully. Already during registration, where you need to provide a lot of personal data, I checked the connection security 5 times, whether it is not a copy of the page with a mysterious extension, etc., etc. When I finally managed to go through the whole process, I entered a completely new and unknown platform in which I could move.
Learning
After a month of exploring the new platform, I understood what is where and how to navigate the platform looking for different information. Of course, all these activities were preceded by many hours of YT tutorials and other available materials. It can be said that the training lasted over a month before the first position appeared on my account and it was a lined notebook.
Scheme
As they say, the hardest thing is to start doing something, but after the first publication I already knew that it would be a repetitive process, so I immediately prepared something that I called an information draft to speed up the texts stuck into the series. And so a series of 9 coloring books was created, for the next month there was still nothing on my account and unfortunately in the standard view there is no information whether anyone is watching your scribble and with each subsequent day there is a growing frustration and doubt whether it works? can you see it somewhere, what did I throw into this gigantic Amazon sack?
Consequence
Despite the doubts, I continued to produce more and more refined items, as for some I even had to contact Amazon in order to authenticate my copyrights and it became my daily routine that I completely forgot to check the „Reports” tab, I only created, content, formats, covers , I wrote down ideas and suddenly something breathed me to see if something moved or not.
Joy
You don’t even know how much joy it is when suddenly it turns out that not 1, not 2, but 5 books of your production have been sold. It’s not even those few miserable bucks. It is rather a matter of working or not working and suddenly it turns out that there are people who, without any advertising and persuasion, are completely strangers somewhere on the other side of the globe, buying your proprietary products. I have not felt such satisfaction and joy from what I do anymore and I have gained even greater appetite to do more.
Never give up … do what you have here and now and the results will come.
