Like any aspiring creator, you probably wonder what to write on your blog? Will anyone even read this? There are some rules of SEO, SEM etc. etc. From my own experience, I can tell you one and reliable rule of running a blog … but more on that later.
Initial euphoria.
I don’t know about you but I always get excited and involved when I start something new. I have 100 ideas on how it will look like and this initial state of creating something from scratch drives me to action. Of course, after some time it passes and the first riddles appear to solve how to do something, make it work and what to write about and where to attach the link, click and other blogging issues.
Creative vein.
It sounded at least like the beginning of the epic, but there is nothing to laugh about. Vena is needed for everything. Reading, writing, graphics, cleaning or washing up, without inspiration. Ideas appear in different circumstances of the day and sometimes even at night, then I quickly save them in a notebook on the phone or on the calendar. Later they go to my topic table where there are already subdivision threads, publication plan, etc.
Elimination of obstacles.
As I mentioned above, publishing a post involves performing a number of different actions, connecting the post to the right category, uploading the content, adding a photo, taking this photo before, tagging, linking, writing teasers, ble, blah, ble. STOP! I never write directly on the blog. First of all, primo happens there all this and more, secondly, primo ultimo, it is dangerous for the content itself, because the page can always reload, there may be a temporary disappearance of the net and what was not saved disappeared. Oops … shit happens.
In order to avoid all the clashes, I make a delicious coffee from such an infuser:
I turn on airplane mode on my computer and phone, start my list of topics and text editor and start writing.
A reliable rule.
Focusing on one activity at a time is my reliable rule to do as much as possible. I write, write and write, post by post, article by article, only text, without any additions in the form of links, photos and other distractions. This method allows me to prepare content for the whole week what’s more, during the process when some golden thought appears, I also write it in parentheses, e.g. [here photo] or [here link]. The effectiveness of this method has increased my productivity 7 times, I recommend 🙂 It is known that after finishing everything is read many times and then there is time for editing.
Post Processing.
Once I have written a small novel of weekly posts, I start editing. This process consists of preparing graphics in Canva, links and throwing everything into the right folders, so that everything is at hand, because the publication of posts is a completely different story that does not tolerate airplane mode either on the computer or on the phone.
