Work on the blog. How to improve its appearance and organize.

When I started working on a blog two months ago, the most important thing for me was just to write and publish. I didn’t think about its layout, appearance and ordering at all. I just wanted to act according to the principle „do what you have here and now” . After a dozen or so entries, I reviewed the blog on the phone and it turned out to be a little chaotic 🙂

Because in the beginning there was chaos …

New Year’s orders were more difficult than I thought, because I spent a few hours just choosing the layout. On the one hand, I liked those with large background photos, on the other, I knew that 60% of the traffic came from the mobile, so the choice fell on a very simple and transparent template in my opinion. However, this was just the beginning. Suddenly there are 10 new functions and bookmarks that can be placed in the form of subpages, main pages or additives.

A harvest defeat.

Taken with opportunities that opened up to me, I put everything on the home page. After publication, it turned out that during Christmas not only my Christmas tree shines like in Vegas, but my blog too 🙂

In one of the previous entries I mention the elimination of obstacles and distractions and my site was so loaded with water jets that actually content became unnecessary. And again, rebuilding and seeking peace and transparency. Actually, the final effect is moderately correct today, I miss only one much needed function, but I will write about it a bit more in one of the next post.

UX

What I can recommend to anyone who begins to create something, from time to time try to get through it as a reader in the case of a blog, a viewer in the case of video or a listener in a broadcast called podcast.

Sometimes we have so much in our minds and we want to share everything with others immediately that articles, films or broadcasts of exaggerated sizes. So I will watch over and try to produce less and more often and without extensive multi-threaded content. Let everyone find what they are looking for here and now. Oh, this UX is obviously an abbreviation for User Experience, i.e. producing content with particular emphasis on interaction with them providing users with positive experiences. And that’s what I wish for you and myself.
